Hello everyone! I'm not quite in the business yet, but I was approached by an old friend that made me an offer. He said if I wanted to toss in a few vehicles he would pay me a % of the profits generated from those vehicles. Hoping to pick your experienced brains, if you were in the same situation, knowing what you know, what % would you ask for from the net profits for the vehicles you provide?
Keeping in mind, he wants to make me a partner where I will be handling the maintenance on those vehicles, making the payments if I have to take a loan out for them, and eventually even scheduling them and hiring drivers, etc.., once I learn the system. He is hoping, since he is older, I will take over at some point and run the whole operation.

Ok, no responses I've decided I'm going to take this opportunity, purchase a few nice used vehicles, learn the business and do everything I can to help him grow it, and diversify it. I'm good at these things due to where I've been, and where I'm coming from. Taking my past careers into consideration, it seems I've been molded for it, so here is my opportunity. I'm hoping someone here would like to create an alliance. We can help each other know what others rates are around the state, California. We can help each other anticipate where to diversify, and hopefully give each other answers that are otherwise, in some cases, hard to come by. One way or the other, I have a several ideas to force our service to do nothing but GROW. I know I may sound full of enthusiasm now, and you might be thinking that will fizzle. I will not, and I plan on taking this business through, over, and around the obviously ever changing landscape of the NEMT world. I'm gonna get the answers one way or the other. Let's help each other, shoot me a message, let's do this.
